York Adult and Community Education: Courses

This term we will be looking at how to cope with minor ailments (colds, hay fever, headache etc) and medication (pills, antibiotics, etc) as well as some more specific problems which you might need on holiday, such as sunburn and insect bites.  We will then focus on the restaurant situation - ordering a meal and paying the bill etc.

This course is intended as a continuation to a beginners' course and aims to build on the skills and language previously learned.  This 10 weeks will focus on giving and asking for personal information (to introduce friends and family, talk about where you live and work etc), and also how to ask for information in a tourist information office about places to visit or things to see and do.  There will be plenty of oral and aural practice as well as reading and writing short items on these topics.
